Cooley researcher

My connection to the Cooley family has been an interesting one. My name is Sandra and I started searching in 1966 and just can't seem to stop. When the family genealogy was handed over to me, I started off with a John Hubbard and one of his daughters, Rachel married Thomas Cooley and I have been looking for Cooley's ever since. One of their sons was the well known, Thomas McIntyre Cooley. I noticed that a lecture was given on him at your last reunion....wish I could have been there. I had a bit more info than he did! People forget that he had a mother and her name was Rachel Hubbard. I started working on all the children in the family and then all the kids families and over the years have a lot of "stuff" on lots of Cooley's. Been a great adventure. Now I find myself helping others who are looking for some of the Cooley's that I know about. Lately it's been about Grove Benjamin Cooley (if anyone knows about him...another Judge). I now have started volunteering on Find A Grave and have put up memorials for all the Cooley's that I learn about. It is a wonderful site if you are not familiar with it. Added a picture for Grove's memorial today.

Thanks for the information about the CD with the resources on the Cooley family.

Doesn't look as if many Cooley researches are taking advantage of this site. Too bad.
